I let a spam bot into my forums...he must of been a human who registerd as I have safeguards in place to avoid haveing bots register.

He then posted some links to crap. Once I saw them, I delted them and then did an IP check of the poster. It showed he had 2 posts (which he did) but then it listed 24 other IP addys the user posted from???

There where no other posts!?!

I banned the IP of the 2 ACTUAL posts, but I dont understand how is says he has all the other posts...any ideas?

It doesn't mean he has those other posts, it means its a dynamic IP & 24 other posts have that same IP but a different username.

But thats the thing...he has no other posts! Question So what are those IPs?

They are posts by the IP, not by the user. It is tracking dynamic IPs posts....

I dont know how else to explain it.

Posts can be grouped by many things. Topic ids, user ids, poster ips.

1 ip can be issued for 50 people, thats called a dynamic IP (Dial-Up, etc..)

This page is showing you all the posts for that IP, regardless of the user who posted it.
